All the paint is still on there. The pads that all the eastern bikes ship w/are soft (and work well) but wear out in a month-3 months depending on how hard you are on them...just a little warning...but other than that the element is f*cking solid. The only problem I had was cracking the bars in this one spot where I crack ALL my bars and they are getting warranted right now, and the guys over at eastern were really chill about it.

get the duo over the element, better quality IMO. its really great, havnt had much problem wit it besides wearing stuff out. the longer toptube is nice and comfy, and the backend can be shortened to 13.5 with a half link if needed. comes stock with an aftermarket frame too. good deal and great bike
